MPLC was established 30 years ago to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright. With now decades of experience, MPLC has become the world leader in licensing films, TV, and other content for public exhibitions across five continents and more than 30 countries.

MPLC licences these public exhibitions – the right for an audience to view audio-visual content in a public location, such as retailers, waiting rooms, reception areas, bars & restaurants, coaches, activity centres, schools, children’s nurseries, care homes etc.

To make it easy to comply with the copyright law, MPLC is offering an annual ‘MPLC Umbrella Licence®’ which allows unlimited showings of all works from MPLC’s rightsholders without the need of reporting titles, and dates or times of performance.

How we helped

MPLC was moved by ServerLink team from the on-premises IT to the Azure cloud, as Azure is more scalable than on-premises infrastructure. This allows MPLC to access their data remotely from any location, meeting their goal of working in a completely Agile environment and migrating 2 physical locations. Different offices have been migrated to Office 365 through tenant migration processes. Moreover, ServerLink worked alongside MPLC to plan a building move in Eastbourne, UK. At this location, our team at ServerLink has supplied the new office with new laptops and office equipment needed.

In terms of security protection, Cyber Essentials is a government-backed and industry-supported scheme, that helps businesses protect themselves against the growing threat of cyber-attacks and provides a clear statement of the basic controls organisations should have in place to protect themselves. ServerLink has audited, remediated, and implemented security best practices and controls for MPLC to gain their cyber essential accreditation.

What we did

In terms of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ServerLink has been supporting MPLC global locations with the implementation of new systems, such as Oracle NetSuite Cloud ERP with Salesforce integration. In addition, ServerLink offered consultancy services to implement & integrate Oracle NetSuite Cloud ERP in USA, Denmark, UK and working closely on implementation in many other countries soon. Our team of experts have custom-designed, implemented, configured, and is continuously managing their CRM systems to ensure everything is running smoothly, and ensuring the process areas are based on Oracle, and NetSuite standard practices.

ServerLink offers continuous end-user support, maintenance, network, and server support which is being provided to MPLC 24×7 in many countries. Monitoring and managing all users while also offering a reliable point of contact.
