Price increase coming for VMware
VMware has said that their prices are always being evaluated, this has come to light due to VMware stopping short of confirming Brexit-fuelled price increase.
From the 1st January 2017, VMware are planning to increase their product prices by 15%.
There has already been a number of tech vendors, which include Apple, Dell, HP and Microsoft who have already announced an increase in prices due to UK’s vote to leave the EU. In fact, there has been some who have increased their prices twice due to the falling value of the pound against the dollar.
With all of this in mind, there is a blog on our site which is dedicated to keeping customers up to date about the price increases so that they are kept in the know. The most recent update to this post has been VMware’s price increase which has been added to the table.
There have been a few claims made about the virtualisation giant will be increasing their prices by 15% on the 1st January 2017.
To conclude, VMware have stopped short of clearly confirming the price increase and has said:
“While we have not broadly announced a pricing change in the UK today, we continuously evaluate our pricing in various currencies across the world. We occasionally make adjustments that provide consistent pricing across regions, and optimise value for our customers and partners around the world.”
